1930 Unusual Europe to U.S.A. Via Rio DO-X Cover with Russia Franking. DO-X registered cover with Rio & Europe-America flight cachets franked by 12 different Russian stamps canceled by Oct 27, 1930 Russian cancels. Cover bears Jan 30, 1931 Bordpost cancel and backstamps. The red flight cachet was stamped over the registry vignette and the cover was addressed to the USA after red flight cachet was applied. Not specifically listed in Harms. Normally Russian franked covers also bear German and/or other country frankings. This cover may have been taken aboard and given the bordpost mark (on front and back) without going through normal procedure and possibly addressed after coming aboard.
